Imagine if instead of spending $850 billion in defense we spent the same to lift the world out of poverty? To develop carbon free energy. To make global agriculture regenitive and global markets sustainable. There would be no need for defense if we build the future where everyone and the planet thrives.

Since I got the right to vote back in the Vietnam War era the US has prioritized corporations over people's needs and it's only gotten worse. Why do we have children going hungry, homeless vets, greater need for mental health care, underfunded public education, expect families to live on minimum wage while politicians make sure the military industrial complex thrives? Placing guns & corporations over people has led to this hot mess.
