I just realized that the “note” feature on profiles here is useful for a feature I *longed* for on Twitter: a way to remind myself why I originally followed someone.

So excited to have realized this, because I’m feeling sure that keeping my following list shorter is going to be part of making a home here.

I want to actually engage meaningfully and consistently with the people I *do* follow, rather than turning (once again) into a passive follower and booster.

I’ve been literally copying a link to the post I followed them from, plus a short note describing what I liked in case the post is deleted.

@bossproofreader Do you see the word NOTE under your name? Just under that in paler writing it says “Click to add note.”

I could make a private note there on your profile just for me, to remember something about you.
