Addressed a lot of feedback and suggestions with the latest Mammoth beta update. Hope you're all enjoying it!
@JPEGuin It really is an excellent client. Only two items keep it from being my main daily client: 1) ability to download ALL available Toots (current limit appears to be 19 whether a bug or by design), and 2) auto refresh feed on launch. But no matter these items, you’ve done some great work in a very short time.
@Ashkendo That's very encouraging to hear, thanks! These will be coming soon

@Ashkendo @JPEGuin

Seconded the thing about loading only 19 toots. Last thing keeping me from using Mammoth exclusively.

@Ashkendo @JPEGuin Mammoth is my daily now but it would be cool to see the features you mentioned.
@JPEGuin Really enjoying Mammoth so far! I have one request for the Mac: Keep the app running (visible in the dock) even if I close the window.
@Timschmitz I'll look into adding that, thanks
@JPEGuin when is the official release scheduled? And how will it be priced?

@gertdebra @JPEGuin it's really great, loving all the recent work! I like the ability to follow from different accounts with long press. it would be great to have that ability on boost/reply/fave etc as well!

I'm also wondering about pricing etc. if you have plans for that yet

@toby You can currently do this via the post details view
@JPEGuin ah, cool, found it! however, it doesn't look like it worked when i just tried it. I long pressed on the boost button and chose the other account from the menu, but it doesn't look like it boosted on that account.

@JPEGuin

Thanks again for the great app! ☺️

Regarding the filters, would it be possible to have the filtered content not visible if "Hide completely" has been checked?

@supermurs Yup! That'll be coming soon

@JPEGuin

Awesome! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

@JPEGuin it’s great! I have one feature request for Mac. I keep my clients running 24/7 and would love auto refresh when the window becomes active (or on a steady interval.) Makes it easy to command-tab around and check if anything is new without pull-to-refresh.
@michaelsteeber Great to hear, thanks! And for sure, that'll be coming soon
@JPEGuin Outstanding update and I look forward to buying the app when it’s ready! How can I join the MAC TestFlight?
@tod It's currently using the iOS TestFlight on Silicon Macs, but a dedicated standalone Mac app is in the works
@JPEGuin Not only is Mammoth really fun to use and has lots of great features, but UI-wise it's one of the best iOS apps IMHO. Very exciting to see it blossom!
@jaredwhite That's incredibly kind of you to say, thank you!
@JPEGuin I think it’s good enough to remove the official app now. Great work!
@dgriffinjones That's very encouraging, thank you!
@JPEGuin I still find it when I refresh my feed, there is almost always a gap between the old messages already in my timeline and the most recent ones — with no UI to load what’s missing in between. Other apps tend to have a visible break and a load missing tap target etc.
@JPEGuin Thank you for making this great app! I just joined the beta a few days ago and it’s by far the best client I have used. The only thing I don’t like at the moment is that it doesn’t show all the new messages since I last used the app if there are too many of them.
@JPEGuin I see you updated/fixed filters in the Home (according to the changelog) but I don’t understand how to hide filtered content. What am I missing? Thanks

@JPEGuin lots of great stuff in here!

For filtered content, I’d love the option to have filtered content hidden *completely* vs telling me that there was a post that was filtered.

That’s how I have my filters configured in Mastodon!

@JPEGuin my toots aren’t getting published. The app says it’s published but it’s not. I have to use the web to publish but I can respond to toots via the app. Don’t know if it’s just me.
@Kavuyi Wonder if this is just down to the instance you're on having an issue
@JPEGuin maybe. But if I use the web it publishes everything. I’ll check.
@JPEGuin love the frequency of updates. So pumped for this to be my main client. Keep up the great work!

@JPEGuin I’m not sure what it is, but the cropped orange text on this toot doesn’t look right: https://indieapps.space/@SuspiciousPackage/109501831113797701

For context: I have a 6-line post length turned on (and just saw it on another toot that had a link at the end)

@alopix Thanks for letting me know about this
@JPEGuin User discovery is so much easier on Mammoth than the Mastodon client. I’ve finally figured out this platform because of Mammoth.
@tmyrden That's very encouraging to hear!
