I'm realizing that there are certain Trek characters who, though I like watching them on TV, I'm better off not getting too close: Q, Garak, some klingons and maybe Quark.

By contrast, who do you think is the most approachable character? Who would you feel instantly comfortable with? #StarTrek

@Fragglemuppet I don't do being comfortable with people! But maybe Geordie? He seems less intimidating than most of them, with the geeky enthusiasm. Or possibly Seven, though that's more of a risk - I could see us getting along well, but it could also go very badly.

Garak is fantastic and definitely someone to stay far, far away from.

I'm surprised no one's said Guinan. Like, really surprised. I would be instantly comfortable with her because I think anyone would be.

I would likely be instantly comfortable with Quark as well though. I know who he is and what he's about, and I would know how to handle/manage him easily. Kind of tells you a lot about the family I was raised in eh? 😬 😏

@Fragglemuppet I would probably be comfortable with Guinan...everyone would. I'm a historian so I don't know how well that would translate with many of the characters. Probably Burnham and Dax, Picard too maybe. I'd like to think I'd be able to chat with my fave Janeway without being a moron, but who knows.
