@harrylitman Does making the referral from the committee politicize it? Is Trump likely to be indicted or should we expect that to come from the stolen documents case?
@GoldenRuleLover @harrylitman That’s sort of what I was thinking. Not that they shouldn’t refer criminal matters to DOJ, but it’s DOJ’s job to do it in the first place. A referral should be for things they might have overlooked. This is the obvious stuff and for the legislature to be initiating a criminal matter is not how it is supposed to work.
