Another one? Toshiko Akiyoshi, "Kyo-Shu (Nostalgia)" from the album depicted above ("George wein Presents Toshiko", 1956) - Paul Chambers on bass and Ed Thigpen on drums:

And again something valuable, a treasure

@Casura @jazz ahhh, Grover; such a great bridge into jazz for the (initially) unaware jazz listener - another #ProfDJ favourite; from two different Kudu LPs - Mr Magic & Hydra...

Can't say I'm a fan ... but he's fine on some albums I enjoy (including "Blue Moses"!). One I really enjoyed a lot more than expected is his encounter with Kenny Burrell, "Togethering" from 1985 (became aware thanks to the 2000 CD reissue). Quite amazing to just listen to Ron Carter and Jack DeJohnette, btw!

@Casura @jazz Oh, I should check that out... thanks
@Casura @ChrisMayLA6 @jazz It's a good record--they sound well-suited playing together. The recording is a bit off sometimes. DeJohnette's drums sound awful on the last track for some reason.
