Increasingly, I believe that the destruction of Musk's Twitter is crucial for the preservation of American democracy. I was neutral on this until the past few days. But it's now obvious that his intentions -- and actions -- are aimed in part at promoting right-wing extremism.

The Murdoch family is still the greater threat, but Musk looks set to supersede them as a force for evil.

@dangillmor Would the destruction of Twitter help though? I’m not denying that Twitter itself is problematic but in this case you’re saying the problems come from Elon’s changes. If we’re saying the platform was fine before but now is problematic due to outside forces then the problem is coming from outside. If we’re not correcting what’s coming in or figuring out why this change is occurring wouldn’t we just be kicking the can down the road? I’m not defending Twitter just going with
“Problems cannot be solved with the same mind set that created them.” Way of thinking.
