Judge Tim Kelly rejects several bids to throw out the indictment against Proud Boy leaders.

There should be a more interesting one soon on whether the govt can argue that Proud Boys riled up the "normies," as a weapon.

@emptywheel IANAL but if you can deploy a boulder as a weapon (rolling it down a slope) or a herd of animals (ask Simba) then why not a mob whipped up with disinfo and strategically directed on the ground?

When's the court case dealing with the same for the Trump gang? Wasn't the whole point of promoting the Jan. 6 "protests" to get a mob in DC that would create the conditions for disrupting the certification process? Just Brooks Brothers Riot v2?
