re: listening to music while browsing Mastodon posts
I wonder why EVERY time I point my desktop browser to a Mastodon post (while I'm streaming in exclusive mode from Tidal to my DAC at a 44.1 kHz sample rate), the sample rate switches up to 48 kHz?
If anyone has any insights, I'm eager to entertain any reasonable theories...
I didn't realize there was a notification sound here. I must have it turned off. Which is the way I would want it.
That said, the sample rate jump happens as soon as I open up a mastodon post.
(It also sometimes happens when I go to a magazine or media site that is running video ads in the background, which are presumably running at 48k. But that's sort of understandable.)
