What is happening in Ukraine is now clearly approaching Holocaust levels.
At *least 10% of Ukraine's population has been kidnapped & taken to Russia, presumably to be "Russified". More than 4M.
And it's simply a war to kill civilians now. Russia has given up trying to defeat the Ukrainian army in the field.
Russia cannot rejoin the world until Putin & his gang go.
The sad part that Putin & his gang are supported by a vast majority of population. It will take generations for them to become civil..
@dudenas I'm certain that there is support, but less certain that it's a vast majority.
A vast majority are certainly cowed by Putin & his thugs of course. Using the wrong terminology to describe what's going on can result in a longish prison term.
@dudenas Agree however that it will take a long time to civilize Russia. The only way I see it starting is by complete ostracization. No sports. No foreign travel. No engagement with civil society in civil countries. They must be made to feel a very strong sense of shame.
At the same time, it must be clearly communicated what is necessary for them to again participate in the civilized world.
