@LetsBeFriendsAlready Coraline by Neil Gaiman. It's one on the scariest children's books I've read as an adult.

Good Omens by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett. Just a joyful end of the world story.

End Of The World Running Club by Adrian J. Walker. Another tale of the apocalypse but from the POV of a character that feels real.
