I met a 12-year-old kid last night who asked me what I thought about 9/11 and then proceeded to explain how maybe it was rigged because of how the buildings fell, and please hear me when I say I spent a solid decade of my adulthood already dealing with that nonsense and I can't do it again and also how are KIDS getting exposed to this FFS. 😆

@austinkocher My take is that people have a hunger for an easy plot and stable structure to the narrative of their lives, which inclines them toward authoritarian narratives. A hunger born out of the awareness of the incredible mass of information washing over them via technology. Deepest insecurity. Incredibly immature.

@austinkocher parents and YouTube would be my guess.

As an experiment, go to YouTube while not logged in with a browser in incognito mode and search for a minecraft video. Watch a random popular one. Then leave autoplay on or pick random suggested videos from there. I would bet it won't take long before you start finding your being served up videos with topics like this.
