GenoForPrez@emptywheel It's a small thing, but I've also noticed that suddenly within the past week, I am no longer able to scroll public twitter as a visitor without an account (like many, I deleted it). Now after scrolling down a few tweets, the site locks behind a pop-up telling me to create an account if I want to even VIEW twitter. This further restricts access to information e..g reporting and experts. The milking of twitter continues.

@emptywheel Content Warning is a strictly Mastadon thing. No such thing on my Friendica account but I do know how to use BBcode, as luck would have it. In BBcode it's the Spoiler command.

To be a viable replacement for Twitter, Mastodon needs
1) a working search function, ideally with an advanced search option, and
2) reasonable thread management.
That the search only works for complete user names and hashtags is very nearly a deal-breaker for me, and that all threads get screwed-up isn't helping.

The TuckI finally had enough and deleted my Twitter account. I am getting my Peace back. Twitter was making me angrier since elon took over. Twitter is also making folks I really liked the most, angrier in their tweets too.
