Interesting article. TL;DR:
“Conservatives” have run out of ways of twisting the boundaries of English syntax and logical leaps in their “originalist” strategy of misinterpreting the Constitution.

So they have invented a new way called “Common good constitutionalism” which just means they can do whatever the fuck they want as long as it’s “in the common good” as defined by them. 😑

“Common good constitutionalism” is just another way to say “rich white people really want to stay that way.”

It’s also another version of “Longtermism” which is a cryptofascist idea by people like Elon Musk who believe they are so superior to everyone else that they are responsible for being the guardians of the “future of humanity” — and therefore the rest of us should just shut up and take our medicine.
