Day 9 of my #ArtAdventCalendar is a flashback to my Hawaiian holiday earlier this year.

We had lunch at an out-of-the-way food shack overlooking the ocean when this little guy sidled up next to me to see what I was eating.

He happily posed for me, then wandered off to find his buddies (who were checking out other tables!). I love Hawaii. 🌴 🦎 ❤️

We just stumbled across it, but I’ve found it’s fairly well known because the food is so good (and the views are to die for).

@pnwres Yes! The Coffee Shack. Our Uber driver from the airport told us to go there. ❤️☕️🌅

@dcjenn We got lucky. Just happened to be hungry when we came upon it on our way to Kilauea!

@pnwres I feel like these lizards, unlike other varieties here in Hawai'i, will stop, look at you, take stock, and then move on.

@jesse808 Which is precisely what he did. We looked at each other, he assessed the surroundings of our table, and then he walked away. 🤷‍♀️
