Currently Elon has given behind the scenes Twitter user data access to anti-LGBTQ bigots and made promises of protection to a woman actively trying to murder trans people.

The site simply is not safe for LGBTQ people to be on at all and this isn't a problem that's ever going to be rectified -- it can only get worse because it is the desire of the new owner.

As such I've deleted all my content on Twitter, parked my account, and will no longer be used the site.

@ashleylynch smart move. I also ditched my Twitter a few days ago. This latest revelation just solidifies that this is a wise choice.
@MarchViolet I had 14K followers there, so it's hard, y'know?
@ashleylynch no kidding. Your film posts brought life to that place. I guess it was a little easier for me to ditch my 1k followers account, but I had it for a decade and that was friggin hard to let go of too. I hope you get lots of love here, even if things are different.
@ashleylynch we can't promise you 14k followers here but a lot less headaches. Welcome!
@ashleylynch @MarchViolet Yeah. That hurts. Welcome to an alternative. We'll need to figure out how this platform actually works when and where it intersects with the real world.
