We Bought A Zuul

2022 | PG-17 | 4h 3m
Comedy | Drama | Fantasy

IMDB: Set in New York, a parapsychologist moves his multigenerational family upstate to raise a struggling Zuul. Starring Bill Murray, Matt Damon, Sigourney Weaver, and a digitally altered Rick Moranis, looking like a young, uncanny valley version of himself. It's only mostly creepy!

You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll question your life decisions. Seriously, why are you doing this to yourself?

Streaming this Christmas on Peacock TV

@peacockmade 4h 3m is the 🍒
@owlislost I think we can all agree that this particular story couldn’t possibly be told in a shorter amount of time.
@peacockmade @owlislost I particularly enjoyed the extended walking Zuul and poop-bag negotiation scene. That neighbor lady! So poignant.
@Xzackly @owlislost I was surprised by the layers of nuance the filmmaker achieved in that scene, but I must admit to being more than a little confused by her decision to have Bill Murray’s inner monologue entirely in French. Alas, I am but a humble viewer. Mine is not to question genius.
@peacockmade @owlislost The use of French was an allusion to French's Mustard. It makes sense when considered alongside Zuul's resentment at being a labelled a "hot dog."
