too many cats n dogs as pets, not enough: bunnies, cows, pigs, opossums, rats, capys, ducks, racoons, prairie dogs, badgers, skunks, etc...
cats n dogs are dominating the marketplace. we need much more unusual pets i feel

people need much more unusual pets in society. this is my proposed vegan initiative.
exposure to animals makes them much less likely to be eaten.

i dont have studies about this, but the absence of the main pets as sources of food tells me this.

@meowww I named my chickens (who I REALLY got for eggs and tick control) food names so if they died or we needed to butcher them it wouldn't be so bad. The first one we are however was named Thelma bc she was a bitch
@Vladimirlemon haha, and when you’ve had to do away with one of your chickens, did the names work? I’d love to have chickens <3
@meowww Thelma was the one we ended up having to eat (fatal injury from a dog, we had to put her down).. we ended up renaming a few bc they did some weird shit. One was named tomato until it survived a crazy wind storm. Then it was tornado
@Vladimirlemon love that last part haha <3
@meowww I had to look away when we e put down Thelma but she made an incredibly rich broth and she didn't go to waste. It was sad but we lost many more from a local bobcat and then a FANILY of bald eagles
@meowww that's part of the risk you take, keeping animals that other animals want to eat
@meowww what about big cats, like pumas and lynxes? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjB1cb6f8Wg
