It's now 701 days since Donald Trump's Jan 6 terrorist attack. Not only has Trump not been charged with even one crime, he's now running for President where he's actively spewing more lies to delegitimize our democracy.
Long past Time for Merrick Garland to INDICT TRUMP!!
@DeanObeidallah This is even more critical now that heโ€™s called for the termination of the Constitution , which was liked by 30k+ of his followers. We saw on 1/6 what happens when stupid, gullible people are ginned up by a narcissistic sociopath. We canโ€™t go through that again.
@DeanObeidallah Please Indict Trump!!!!! There must be enough hard evidence in the voluminous files collected thus far!

@DeanObeidallah Yes, it's past the time for #TFG to be indicted. And yes, he's gotten away with far more over the years than the average citizen. I have no doubt that Merrick Garland will bring criminal charges against him. We all want to see this done expeditiously, but we also want the charges to stick!!

Cross every t, dot every i, make no mistakes.

@SAWYNNE1 @DeanObeidallah this is unprecedented. Make sure that Trump canโ€™t wiggle, sue, or send it up to the SCOTUS
@reardon15 @DeanObeidallah Exactly!! We need to make sure that he'll be a permanent fixture in somebody's prison cell. ๐Ÿคฃ

@DeanObeidallah
@jeffjarvis

Indicting him won't stop him from running or stop people from voting for him. I prefer not to have another Kyle Rittenhouse verdict, but maybe that's just me.

@DeanObeidallah The whole point of the survival counsel is to ensure the project gets the right attention and is hard for Congress to derail after the election. Trump is in court now testing his immunity theory.

Fast is smooth.
Smooth is slow.

@DeanObeidallah
But if we charge Trump with crimes just because he broke the law, that would be "too divisive," and besides, establishing the rule of law might have a chilling effect on the next coup.

You wouldn't want to discourage the next coup before it even gets started, do you? You cannot possibly be that cruel.

[/Sarcasm]

@DeanObeidallah How does that compare to the relatively simple Watergate investigation?
@DeanObeidallah I donโ€™t doubt that if the orange one ever gets back in office he will pardon anyone with an R after their name.
@DeanObeidallah How damaging would it be for Garland, the DOJ, and the country as a whole if he presented anything less than an iron-clad case to a grand jury? Failure is simply not an option!
