People who say #ElonMusk's selective disclosure of #Twitter internal docs "breathes new life into the #HunterBiden laptop story" miss the point. That's not the goal.

The goal is to inflate a different right-wing talking point, that "big tech is biased against conservatives". So Musk carries water for right-wingers who want to force tech companies to uncritically rebroadcast their propaganda AND he spins his Twitter acquisition as "essential to save 'free speech'."

That's what this is about.

@angusm You know Angus, I can't stop thinking about Musk's real motives. Is it Occam's Razor? If so, then Musk WANTS to dismantle and possibly destroy Twitter. But why? To weasel out of the stupid deal he cut to buy it? Or something more nefarious?

@KarenStrickholm @angusm how is that old saying? I forgot so forgive me the bad quoting. It's something like if stupidity explains it, don't look for more complex explanations (a version of Ockams razor, just a bit more cynical)

@angusm @davidfm That's cool but no, Occam's Razor is I believe meaning that all things considered equal, the most obvious simple explanation is usually the correct one. I didn't know there were other razors out there!🙏❤️
