#writers of all kinds, I need your help.

@Cullen18Cullen Thank you for teaching writing to high school students! In 12 years as a journalism professor, my best students were the ones who wrote & edited H.S. publications.
At my H.S., I only wrote for a Spanish club paper. But my college editor-in-chief, a minister's son, made me copy editor because, "You went to a Catholic high school; that means you can spell!"
After college, I wrote about *everything*, for newspapers, magazines, websites & software companies.
At 74, I still blog.

Mention that writing opens doors. I wrote about local government, municipal court, school programs, research, student demonstrations against war and injustice, government, weather, eccentric religions, interesting careers, nature, adventurers who sailed around the world alone, computer software & how to use it, the job of putting news on the web when it was new, as well as art, music, and people passing the time.
