Please share to reach as many diabetics possible. Mark Cuban’s Cost Plus Drugs is evaluating a future insulin test program and would like your feedback.

@RosaLSmothers put my two cents in - mostly interested in what brand(s) they'd be offering with that. But even with my decent insurance (Aetna) I have a $50 a month copay for insulin so 170 for 3 months is a solid offering. I still remember paying $600+ out of pocket for a single box of Novolog pens for few months there - I would have jumped at this option.
@jlindborg Thank you! This morning I spoke with a woman whose 31 year old son was just diagnosed as Type 1, he doesn’t have great insurance so the CPD offering would be a huge help… his insurance doesn’t cover insulin pumps, which is infuriating. It’s an auto immune disease, not due to poor lifestyle choices. I’ve lived in/visited Jordan, Bosnia, Peru, etc., and insulin is very affordable as an out of pocket expense… yet in U.S., we’re priced out at risk of hospitalization and death.

@jlindborg 2/ The affordability of insulin elsewhere and the willingness of so many in Congress to denounce affordable insulin legislation as “unnecessary because diabetics are just fat” 🤦🏼‍♀️ (the sheer ignorance of those people…)

This, coupled with increasing threats to Medicare, has led to consideration of whether we should retire in another country. Thankfully we’re well traveled minimalists, so liquidating and relocating is an option for our household. It shouldn’t have to come to this… 😏
