Every year, I emcee the annual celebration for Samfund, a nonprofit supporting young adult survivors of cancer. I sit on the board if its parent, Expect Miracles Foundation.

I survived cancer when I was 13. Back then, in 1991, there were scant resources for families and patients outside of temporary on site housing to stay in during treatment. Even less after medical care was concluded.

Huge thanks for all you’re doing - I know it means the world not just to the recipients but to all patients and survivors. Cancer treatment can be incredibly isolating and scary and knowing that there are people out there who care is, well, it helps. A lot.
