I just made myself a new brand of vegan frozen pizza (I'm allergic to milk) and I had such high hopes. The box was so cool and edgy. I thought surely there was something yummy in there. Womp-womp. Nope. Cardboard city. No one makes dairy-free DiGiornos. But they should, damn it. At least it wasn't vegan AND gluten free like most companies do--lump all the food problems together in one product! Bleh.
@Jenthulhu I know someone who has tried buffalo cheese- not sure if it works on pizza, but apparently lactose intolerant people can have. Also coconut cheese.
I also recommend using a mini baguette as your pizza base. Super niiice
@Jenthulhu also- hi! I hope I actually get to see your toots! I didn’t tend to on Twitter
@jrbee I haven't been active on Twitter for a very long time. I didn't have anything to say and/or didn't have the spoons. But I'm starting to dip my toes in social media again. I like mastodon a lot.
@Jenthulhu I have to say, now twitter is largely empty, my portion of it is much nicer. That being said, masto in general is a very nice place to be full stop.
I don't blame you for not wanting to be on Twitter, it can be a bit... much
@jrbee Back in 2011-ish when I started at the bird site I had a ton of fun--maybe too much fun. I was wayyyy too active. Mastodon reminds me of that era quite a bit. But I'm holding to my intermittent use. I have ADHD so I have to be careful of derailment.
@Jenthulhu
I get what you mean. There was a brief blip where twitter was very fun, but I couldn't keep up. I don't turn on notifications, so I'd log in and be overwhelmed by threads of messages that had gone on without my involvement. I can easily imagine being totally sucked in if I had notifications on.
This seems to be a nice mix of small but consistent conversations here.
That may change as I get to know more folks, but it's comfortable for me right now.
