The chairman of the Jan. 6th Committee just announced that the Committee *will* make criminal referrals to the DOJ containing evidence that specific people, “possibly including former President Donald Trump,” committed federal crimes in trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

@rvawonk Bloomberg’s Mike Dorning and Chris Strohm (or their editor) are the ones saying “possibly including former President Donald Trump”.
Thompson never even hinted at who they’re targeting.

Good. Jan6 committee will recommend indictments against a few. Under Cheney’s lead, this is a conservative move. I hope there is legislation to preclude a sequel. An unredacted report that reports all testimony must be publicly released to keep facts in front of the media. We should not move on until our republic is protected and threats are contained.

Good! Hopefully making all of this public will prevent the House from “investigate the investigators”…. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if they find a way.
