@Bronwen The grammar is what tripped me up when I was younger, German was easier. But, like everything else, I was thinking about how I should have done French and I realised - there's nothing stopping me from learning it now.

@petrinabinney I'd like to learn German too but I would really like to get my french up to scratch before. The subjunctive is a bloody nightmare and I have forgotten everything about it
@Bronwen Totally with you. I thought I'd start with French, having a tiny handful of words somewhere in the back of my head, before having a crack at Japanese, but the subjective is an unwieldy beast, so I may be doing this for some time.
