I love writing #LacunaApostasy stuff!

Today I've been into weapon categories and aesthetics! Mainly using the gift system from #DOMAIINS to generate the whole thing.

With that I have 5 categories of weapons prepared, 3 of which are only available at Immo 3+ (2+ with the correct Gifts).

So let me talk about some #worldbuiling here!

Strap yourselves in, we're going to do a Saltum Tenebris into the Lacuna Stratum!

Let's start with the classical CASE weapons. All weapon categories are in caps to denote they are in fact acronyms... For what? No one knows anymore.

So these weapons are generally industrial looking, overbuilt, with the only "solid" parts being the barrel and firing mechanism. The rest is just skeleton stocks and minimalistic add ons. These weapons are made to be mass produced at the lowest cost available, not to feel comfortable.

OPTO on the other hand look like someone's backyard experiment. Wires sticking out, various gauges and knobs, buttons and lamps. The barrels being nothing but focal chambers and the distinct hum of electricity emitting any time before firing.

The weapons themselves, while having a bit of a less "refined" look, are reliant and liked by a lot of customers. The military variants have external casings to protect the hardware, giving them a boxy look.

We get now to weapons ONLY available to Characters if they have joined the corresponding society.

Meaning that weapons at Immo 2 are available if the gift:society is taken beforehand, thus reducing the requirement for the character's current Immo by one. This is a huge investment but it's useful.

Plus they then get access to BALO, MOLD, and Γ†ΓžER suff!
