So now it should be clear: You can be for the Constitution or for Donald Trump, but you can't be for both.
@StevenBeschloss "Should" as if a desirable or expected state? Kind of like if wishes were fishes...
@StevenBeschloss Not a wish. It's an IQ evaluation.
@StevenBeschloss it's already been established you can't be GQP and believe in Jesus. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ yup you are either for or against.
@StevenBeschloss This sounds so so so so so familiar....
@StevenBeschloss I defend the constitution. I took an oath when I joined.

@StevenBeschloss At this point, after #TheBigLie and the #January6th Republican terrorist coup attempt, the GOP attempt to overthrow the American election, and Republicans closing ranks to protect Trump's sedition, and GOP tacit support for terminating the Constitution...

You can be for the United States or for the Republican Party, but you can't be for both.

@StevenBeschloss Time and again the GOP has proved that they don't need to make sense. They can call themselves christian and anti-immigration. They can be anti-constitution and pro second amendment. They can be profoundly racist and include black people. "Right" is what the party does - not what they think, what they profess, or what they said before. Whatever they are currently doing is the right thing, even if it contradicts previous assertions.

@StevenBeschloss To keep expecting them to reason their way out won't work. It hasn't worked since 2016. They act based on emotion, not reason; that's what allows them to act like they do and keep justifying themselves.

As long as they aren't communists, or democrats, or "libtards", they will keep doing whatever they want to do and will feel right about it.

@StevenBeschloss

Steven, I have been listening all day to Republicans refusing to denounce Trumps call to terminate the "Constitution" and declare that they will support whom ever the Party runs in 2024.

If it weren't so utterly tragic, watching them dance would be funny!

@StevenBeschloss @LolaPoliticka Just think what a boon it would be for originalism, though, if the Constitution never had to be interpreted again.
@StevenBeschloss No one in the military could legally support him now.
@StevenBeschloss If neither then move out. You'll like Russia a whole lot better.
