Gonna be trying out Mastodon. Just discovered we've got a program in our Linux distro (PCLinuxOS) that works with Mastodon for the desktop. Will download and try it our tomorrow. Meanwhile - Be happy and please stay safe! :)
@frazelle09 curious what app is that? I'm an arch person but haven't seen any fedi programs.

@frazelle09 LOL. I guess Bongodon was taken? Agree about the whimsy but it's also the most robust and flexible method of getting things done. Welcome to Mastodon and really appreciate the heads up. I'll try that out. Currently using a browser with the advanced settings. It's pretty sweet.
@statmonkey Lol - that was good. Thanks for the welcome - so good. This place feels happier than that other more blue place. Which one is "the browser..."
@frazelle09 I got Tokodon working. I can't get it to do likes, need more time I suppose. In the browser click the hamburger in the upper left of Mastodon and select preferences. Then on the left select appearance. You shoudl see a box that says Enable Advanced Web Interface. Check it so it is selected then click save changes in upper right. Bingo you are in business.
@statmonkey - Thanks for the Adv. Web - tried it out. Page looks the same - but am happy w/it for the time being. Have a nice evening and pleasant dreams! :)
@frazelle09 It should look dramatically different with 4 columns and a different header. I'm buried this morning but will send a screenshot when I can
