Elon Musk pushing Hunter Biden’s laptop as the world’s biggest story succeeded in distracting people for a minute from Kanye West’s despicable Hitler praising which succeeded for a few minutes from the focus on Trump’s theft of government documents and his incitement of insurrection.
@StevenBeschloss 🤔 kinda think Biden Union busting is going to have bigger impacts that folks aren’t paying attention too and outside the U.S. Ukraine seems a little more important than either Kanye or hunter’s laptop
But here we are I guess with Elon directing our media just like Trump did
@voron @StevenBeschloss
Union busting is not an accurate descriptor. The railroad unions are all still there with all their members subject to the same legal regime that's been in place for decades.
The problem is the Labor Department didn't squeeze management into at least a few days of sick time in the tentative agreement.
Everyone knew a strike at this point in time was never going to happen.
@joeinwynnewood @StevenBeschloss fair Biden is a an anti union strike breaker that sided with share holders making record profits over union worker who donated to him phone banked and canvases for him 👍
@voron @joeinwynnewood @StevenBeschloss Yep, it's sad the Biden Administration villifies anyone who complains about Unions and the difficulties dealing with them, but the SECOND the Unions start impacting HIM... he forces the Unions into submission. Something no one else in the entire country has the ability to do. BIDEN DOESN'T SUPPORT THE WORKING CLASS. He only cares about Democrats remaining in power - at all costs.

@player1 @voron @StevenBeschloss

Impacts him? Really?
Any idea what a railway strike will do to, oh, I don't know, millions of workers who would lose hours if not get laid off due to lack of parts/supplies?
And how about food rotting on rail cars?
Price increases refueling inflation will be great for everyone too!
And recession! Recession would be awesome!
Get real.

EXPLAINER: Rail strike would have wide impact on US economy

American consumers and nearly every industry will be affected if freight trains grind to a halt next month

@joeinwynnewood @voron @StevenBeschloss Exactly!!! GET REAL! This is what Unions are about! You can't give unions the power.. then when it's inconvenient, take it away. This is how the bargaining process works. You take away the Unions ability to bargain, you're basically killing the Unions. Rather than hamper the workers, he could have told the railroads to give the sick days. His intervention was TO THE DETRIMENT OF THE WORKERS.
