@CBHessick@drustevenson Is this the death row question? If so, I wondered the same thing. I think maybe it’s because in every bureaucratic record about us our middle name is included. It’s subtly dehumanizing to reduce a person on death row by using their full name. “When we receive the appropriate document for your file, we’ll kill you. Please hold for further assistance.”
@kyron@drustevenson Interesting. I wonder whether the three name question lands differently for women. Personally, I’m always trying to get my middle name included when I’m publicly identified. But perhaps that’s idiosyncratic.
