People who argue that it isn’t the time to deal with structural, constitutional issues because the country is in crisis never seem to consider that the country might be in crisis because we’re in desperate need of structural and constitutional reform.

No... I just don't think it would turn out well. We'd end up in a full-blown fascist state, and maybe concentration or extermination camps.

Maybe if we still taught civics in middle school, but these days the only civic minded folks are parents ranting about CRT and actual white supremacists advocating for a Constitutional Convention.

If they want one, then we shouldn't have one.
