@tealturtle She was a firm believer in eugenics. Her original ideas behind a lot of her work had to do with sterilization of the poor. At the turn of the century, eugenics was highly touted and was often a reason for creating institutions (We can eliminate disabilities by institutionalizing the disabled and preventing them from reproducing). Goldman believed in forced sterilization of the poor.
@OGactivist I've actually heard this before from someone else, but could never find evidence of it in Goldman's writings. Maybe they are not well preserved. Are there original works of her you know where she describes those ideas?
