Today's #CoatiMonday features another gift from my dear bride. This one is a nearly life-size Hansa plush coati, a beautiful one with posable tail. It's also got the most realistic markings of any coati plush I know about; it's great for getting the feeling of having a real me around.
Another gift from my bride this #CoatiMonday. It's a delightful little wooden doll, a good paperweight size and very soothing to touch.
Another plush #CoatiMonday, with another gift from my dear bride BunnyHugger. This Fiesta coati has wonderfully expressive paws and a loose tail. It's not as easy to pose overall as the Hansa plush, but it flops out wonderfully.

This #CoatiMonday gift from my darling dear BunnyHugger is a coati carved from a nut (I forget the kind); bits of the shell make the nose. It's precious and beautiful.

The extensions on the snout may represent whiskers (we don't usually have tusks), or might have been something the carver needed to handle the material. I can't say for sure.

I took a bunch of photographs and they all washed out detail. Come over my place and you can get a good look at it.

One more gift plush #CoatiMonday! The Kosen is the smallest of the ones BunnyHugger gave me, and it's got the shortest snout, but it's the only one with a tail that naturally stands upright without fiddling.
A tabletop doodle of my own creation this #CoatiMonday. Motor City Furry Con this year (as usual) had paper tablecloths and boxes of crayons to play with and so I doodled me snuggling with BunnyHugger. She added the hearts. Someone else, not me, put the 'Art By [ some name I didn't photograph ]' which was there when I started drawing. Didn't want to overlap like that but I had to draw somewhere, you know?
A tabletop doodle of my dear bride's creation this #CoatiMonday. Motor City Furry Con encourages this with paper and crayons in the con suite and it allows for spontaneous little happy drawing like this. BunnyHugger wanted to draw herself loafing, but the eye came out looking a bit angry, so she added the z-z-z which made her a perfectly content drowsy rabbit. This is the sort of rapid thinking needed when you work in real media.

Comfort this #CoatiMonday, thanks to Alex_J_Cleret on birdsite drawing my common impulse to try and help. It's usually my first impulse and I don't always know, or have much, I can do, but it's there.

Also I really like how I look in purples.

This #CoatiMonday is another gift from my dear bride. It's a rubber stamp that expresses a universal sentiment.

It's one of two stamps made about 15 years ago by Rubber Hedgehog and I set it in the paws of my old NABCO coati plush to give a sense of scale, for those who know how big the NABCO plush is. (The plush is about six inches tall; the stamp is maybe an inch and a half across.)

Another Rubber Hedgehog-made stamp, and gift from my wife, this #CoatiMonday. This stamp has a good bit of use, as my identifying mark for letterboxing.

Letterboxing is a geocaching-like hobby, about finding hidden journals to stamp. Most folks carve their own stamps; I used this because I wasn't sure I would do enough to make carving worthwhile. I should retire this in favor of something homemade, but keep not having the time or energy.

I bring a piece of my own art ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/47153051/ ) so #CoatiMonday can properly observe #MerMay. The fish half is loosely based on sturgeons, which you never see used for mermaids, because I'm just like that.

This also was part of what's been my most-accomplished week of FurAffinity uploads. I'm *stunned* and so happy with how close this comes to what it looked like in my head.

My own art again this #CoatiMonday. It's me trying to help Zukaro, the wax robot fox, calm an anxiety that, for them, is actually justified. (They have a hard time dealing with feet.) Original at https://www.furaffinity.net/view/47282393/

A winner is this #CoatiMonday! LunaTheCute did this line art of Austin having snagged a sandwich. The illustration was a prize won at Furry Bingo this year during Motor City Furry Con and it's a delight to have a fresh picture of me doing one of my favorite activities, bringing joy to whoever just had a sandwich before.

By the way if you ever need cheering up look for videos of 'coati steals sandwich'. You're welcome.

#CoatiMonday today features an old Patreon reward, a postcard sketch by FA/Slickpuppy, from back when I was flush with cash and thought I'd have ideas for monthly sketches forever. (I ran out of ideas after the second month and Slickpuppy suspended his Patreon after that.)

Note the crescent moon on the foreleg there; this is the rare picture showing what I'd once tried to make a motif of my character.

It's a Saturday Morning #CoatiMonday! projectionedge@birdsite generously drew this fine nostalgia piece during one of his streams ( https://twitter.com/projectionedge/status/1534005858937360384 ) and, accurately, picked out one of those 70s Hanna-Barbera cartoons I couldn't get enough of.

For the #CoatiMonday right before our anniversary, I share a drawing I did of me with my dear bride BunnyHugger, being happy together. This is one of our favorite pastimes.

This #CoatiMonday is part of a complete breakfast! And thanks to PatchO'Black, on SpinDizzy Muck, whose fun recent paint job landed me this tasty cereal mascoati job. This is another piece of my own art (see https://www.furaffinity.net/view/47863795/ ) but, uh, watch this space.

I'd *love* to do something in the style of 70s Rocky-and-Bullwinkle Cheerios comic book ads, but I lack the expertise in serial cartooning.

It's a summertime #CoatiMonday, as wax robot fox FA/ZukaroTravon and I beat the heat by completely surrendering to it. This is my own illustration, done with a surprisingly successful experiment in digital watercolors, as seen at https://www.furaffinity.net/view/46058800/

I owe Zukaro thanks for rekindling my interest in melting/liquid scenes and getting me to draw them.

Keeping cool this #CoatiMonday, thanks to FA/techno. kindly giving me a lovely marble-and-gold goop coating. Remember to keep the hottest sun off of you!

I don't know that the picture's posted on a proper gallery.

Gosh it sure would be unthinkable and embarrassing if this goop congealed into a solid mass leaving me a statue for the week, wouldn't it?

Enjoying a happy summer shower this #CoatiMonday with my own art, and experiment in drawing weather.

Done partly as Vahno-on-Birdsite was encouraging about my shiny art and my big fat foot-covering boots, so I looked for an excuse to do a little more of that. I'm sure it's a wild coincidence that I come out looking as shiny as the rubber boots and yellow hat here. Also because /@balloonpup has a lot of rubber characters who wear rain gear and I wanted in.

Fresh breakfast this #CoatiMonday? FA/techno. saw the cereal mascoati picture that I posted several weeks ago, and kindy decided to do it, but better! I'm always impressed by lineless art and the way they captured the look of 1960s Toucan Sam is astounding.

Enjoy seeing less of me this #CoatiMonday as I get into the invisible paint. This was fun but hard, because I had to keep thinking about what to show. The paint bucket particularly made my head hurt to think about.

I drew the snout differently this time, with more of a Preston Blair influence. Not sure if it works, but it's got a fun line to it.

A gifted #CoatiMonday; this is one of a sweet set of vinyl coati stickers my dear bride gave as an anniversary present.

I haven't decided what I'll do with the stickers beyond appreciating them and the desire to share them with me.

Having a bit of fun hanging out poolside with @/Eon, your inflatable friend, this #CoatiMonday! Also with one of those padlock stickers that people are so silly about putting on null toys. Anyway look how happy toy is hanging out like this.

My own art and wow but I feel good about how this came out.

CW: mindplay/hypnosis theme; consenting but one might read it as accidental.

Hanging around waiting for launch this #CoatiMonday, with another vinyl sticker my bride gave me as an anniversary gift. I *love* this pose; it's such a great nonanthro-animal-hanging-out look.

Keeping cool again this #CoatiMonday, thanks to FA/techno. who didn't just draw this in marble-and-gold (that I shared months ago) but also did this blue-and-purple variant. Remember to keep the hottest sun off of you!

I don't know that the picture's posted on a proper gallery.

A statuesque #CoatiMonday as I share my own picture of me somehow a block of living marble. It's a fun way to hang out and prank pigeons!

A while back someone messing around on FurryMuck flashed me with a Medusa Head, with no idea that I was going to run with that. You never expect how many people will ask why you're able to move and talk and all. I choose to think they're worried for me rather than wishing I were inert.

Another #CoatiMonday showing off that sweet cereal mascoati gig! FA/techno. didn't create just the one image of me with a bowl of breakfast cereal, but did a color variant that's got a similar yet not identical vibe. Great fun to have a bit of variety, though, as part of your complete breakfast.
For this special #CoatiMonday another gift: another of the vinyl stickers that my dear bride gave to me on our anniversary.
And enjoy a late bit of breakfast this #CoatiMonday, with one more representation by FA/techno. who so kindly created a pitch-perfect representation of a fun little gig.

One of my own doodles this #CoatiMonday, depicting one of the minor burdens of having such a great tail: fans who'll want it all for themselves. Yes, it's a struggle, but I endure it because it is worth the struggle.

Isn't that always the way? You find a great @Eon costume for a Halloween #CoatiMonday and then Eon is nowhere to be found.

Toy was so kind as to let me put it on, and draw this, as you can see at https://www.furaffinity.net/view/49430374/ and this is one of the rare pictures where I'm just happy at how *everything* came out. A picture is never quite how you imagine it'll look, but this came much closer than anything else I've drawn the past month.

Another of my own illustrations this #CoatiMonday --- https://www.furaffinity.net/view/49695354/ --- of me with my favorite person, my wife. Drawn as a small gift for her birthday this past week.

A long while ago she mentioned a passing fancy of holding a tiny me and I finally illustrated it. (Somehow I usually tend to be the giant one.) You can pick whether this is a giant BunnyHugger or a tiny me, or both.

Another of my own pictures this #CoatiMonday, this time a copy I did from https://brevardzoo.org/animals/rainforest-revealed/white-nosed-coatimundi/ in the hopes of getting better to understand the beauty of the coati jaw and also just how wild our noses are. They're really splendid, aren't they? Bonus good stuff: the tongue!

For this #CoatiMonday please enjoy two porcelain coati figures, apparently the same mould but slightly different after being fired. And painted.

The naturalistic-colored one was a gift from my dear bride to me months ago and I've shown it before. The Delft-style one on the right is one she bought recently and for herself.

Any resemblance to a before-and-after petrifaction sequence is coincidental.

For #CoatiMonday I repeat myself, sharing a dancing picture I did for Charles Schulz's centennial, seen also at https://www.furaffinity.net/view/49974562/

Peanuts is the oldest thing I remember being a fan of; I can't remember a time before I could read and what I read was this comic strip. I can't say how happy I am to be able to draw a decent picture of Snoopy myself.

Sharing a gift from my wife an a souvenir from Mexico City this #CoatiMonday. The coati magnet and the thought balloon are gifts from dear BunnyHugger. The goldfish-shaped magnet with the rabbit that's suspiciously close to her look on it is a souvenir she picked up back in 2018.

The fridge they are on is a Kenmore picked up from the Sears down the road in 2019 after we thought carefully about whether they'd be around the whole twelve-month warranty lifespan. They were not.

Fun side fact about that Sears: they gave us like one-third the cost of the new fridge in bonus points, good dollar-for-dollar in merchandise at the store, so I can't say we got the machine at cost but it has to be pretty close to it. Add to that the rebate the local power company gave us for replacing a still-working-but-ancient fridge with a modern unit and we made out pretty well on the deal.
