I would love to ask my Bible & Constitution loving family members how they feel about their guy wanting to suspend the Constitution, but I don't have the energy.
@wood that is why I am so happy that when I was 8 years old, my grandmother saw two gay men kissing at Disneyland,. Her response was what a handsome couple. (She's was born in 1902)
@jckatz411 wow! <3
@jckatz411 that's really amazing, thanks for sharing. My great grandmother was a eugenicist.

@wood did you know the name Eugene was popularized during that era? And it's just a male name honoring eugenics. I have a co-worker called Eugene and I literally cannot see him without thinking of that factoid.

Couldn't find an actual source....

Does the name 'Eugene' have anything to do with eugenics?

I'm reading this psychology textbook and in a section talking about eugenics, they show this graph showing the popularity of the name "Eugene" for...

@jckatz411 I didn't know that, that's interesting. I wonder if it's true? They do share the same root.
@wood. I'll take this as a yes

@wood

I love both, and it has been my sincere (though rather dark, tbh) wish that Previous Guy end up like Mussolini.

Live like a dictator, die like a dictator.

@wood I know we're all exhausted; the question I have is why give it credibility; I'm of the belief that the more the media gives it attention, the more it becomes a credible issue
@sharsand a former president and likely future candidate who once supported (if not directed) a violent overthrow of the government calls for the suspension of the Constitution, while party leaders remain silent—is that not a credible issue worth discussing?
@wood that is worth discussing but it also should be acted upon and Garland has had plenty of time to indict Trump; this is a topic that we should never let go of until the government takes action
