Yes there's a lot of support for systems that have a "key" for third party access, at least in the UK.

And there's teams out there making them. I've discussed it in detail with them. It's "about the children".

Because of course these things are absolutely totally secure and fine if you require the direction of a judge to use them.

Can't see that being even slightly problematic at all 🤦🏼‍♀️

I understand why they do but I'm concerned that WhatsApp is provided free by a powerful, for-profit organisation like Meta

In the short term at least govt folk should be using (and paying for) a service with more transparent objectives like @signalapp

And for the future, supporting the development of open source, distributed messaging systems like @matrix

Or something like that

How?
Organise locally knocking on people's doors and presentation Gazebo's in the precincts and parks on the weekend once a fortnight.
The winning new local candidates brings the local demographic to citizens assemblies making the decisions if blocked by normal adversarial politics. That can be named and shamed until the whole council falls...

Sure lots of ideas but what does the Centre for Democracy say if the contracted companies that "delivered" to the #ClimateAssembly in England and Scotland are not considered worth it because of what happened after?

He "stood in " at TV hustings demanding long personal platform launching #InsulateBritain whilst ignoring CAs
Valerie was repeatedly detained after NVDA
