Ditch the Mastodon app. Androids requirement for moderation, meant the developers had to take out the fedulated timeline to get it in the app store.

Use Tusky or sideload Megalodon.

@SuperMoosie what does sideload mean? Cheers for letting me know, this app already seems way to basic for my needs~

So the Tusky app is in the Android Play store. It passes all the security, hosting and other requirements imposed by Google.

The Megalodon app isn't in the app store. You download it from their project page, set permissions in your browser to allow non play store apps to be installed.

This may potentially allow you to install apps that have security issues. Only install apps this way if you are sure that they are ok.
