'A BAD DAY', a story by Trumpet.

One day Trumpet got out of bed to find that A BAD PERSON had created thousands of bots on thousands of domains trying to BREAK MASTODON. How rude!

Trumpet tried to fix it (while eating his corn flakes), which didn't work. Then the database fell over. Then Trumpet tried to restore the database (over 3 hours) which FAILED AT 99%. This made Trumpet sad. The second attempt worked.

Trumpet has had a bad day! 😞

Pitch From about one hour ago, my instance's federated timeline was spammed with contents from activitypub-troll.cf, and the sidekiq queue is full of pulling requests. I have to purge all the tasks...

Sorry you had a bad day but thanks for what you do / are doing. I'm sure little comfort but it's a sign that Mas.to has arrived as a threat to certain other platforms. Birdsite, meet your replacement.
