Eric Cruise is played by Jade Calegory who has Spina Bifida and uses a wheelchair in real life. I always tear this film apart for the over-saturated product placements, but actually kinda gotta give them some credit on the representation front; particularly for the pop culture Dark Ages of the 80s!
