@icing I remember years ago Google had problems with too many cookies on a single domain and they wanted to add crazy prio schemes for how browsers could discard them in order etc. Because they do (too) much on the same domain. Here, they continue and add even more...

Why has Google moved from maps.google.com to google.com/maps ?

Title says it all. Seems maps.google.com is redirecting to google.com/maps. What possible reason could there be? I thought of a few but it seems...
