Some Chicago Cubs Commentary:
I view the offseason as a failure if Happ and Nico aren't extended and the Cubs don't sign one of the top 4 SS. Those are well within their abilities. If they don't then its clear they don't care about being competitive.

I'd also like to see the Cubs sign Senga.

@DocTellMeMore Regarding the shortstops, the #Cubs could outbid others and all four could go elsewhere because they want to win now. The Cubs may need to do the Hoerner and Happ extensions and sign an SP like Bassitt (Rodon even better) before any of those SSs would be willing.
