@neilhimself no alt text?
@ProcessParsnip I need to figure out how to put it on from the mobile app.
@neilhimself @ProcessParsnip the mobile app seems to let me add Alt-text when first uploading an image to post, but once that's done, or if I didn't do it at the time, I haven't found a way of editing it or adding it after. The mobile app is aesthetically pleasing but... functionally suboptimal. So far.
@FakePlasticDunk @neilhimself which mobile app do you use?
@ProcessParsnip @neilhimself the 'official' Mastodon app - I'm using an Android phone, so I got it from Google Play Store

@neilhimself my understanding is it varies by mobile app. I asked my sibling and on Tusky when you first upload an image before you post there's a button on the thumbnail, tapping that allows you to "add caption."

PS I am totally psyched you're on here and love your writing.

@ProcessParsnip I think I need to explore the apps.
@neilhimself @ProcessParsnip I second Tusky for Android and Metatext for iPhone and iPad, Neil.
