@JSA I think it's possible. There's a quick explainer in the middle of that article
But I can't get my head round it yet (recovering from all nighter freelance work).
I know you can access other instance through a web browser (always use the browser version, the app is rubbish), just type the name of the instance in the address bar.
You can also create multiple accounts using different emails, as I used to do on the bird site.

@JSA oh! I just discovered you can sign up to different instances using the same email. Of course, they'll be completely separate accounts, but it could be useful if you want to keep activism separate from talking about hobbies.
@JSA having said that, socialist cats are really uncommon. As I've heard before, cats tend to be libertarian: Fiercely convinced of their independence while being totally reliant on a system they despise and cannot comprehend!
