There are people on this platform who want no politics.
We didnโ€™t move over from Twitter to talk about kittens everyday.
We needed a place to carry on our work. To carry on fighting injustice, racism, misogyny, antisemitism and anti-LGBTQ hate. Because these things are important no matter what platform we are using. That was the whole point of our #twittermigration
We donโ€™t have the privilege to be quiet.
@SpockResists I keep trying with Mastodon. But I can't get any traction here :(
@ChristineDantz Just keep engaging Christine. Always remember that every single voice is important. Your voice here is important. Find accounts you want to follow and reply to them. Itโ€™s the same as Twitter in that the more you engage, the more traction you will see my friend. ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ–
@SpockResists Thank you. I spent years building my profile on Twitter, just for the #ChefTwit to destroy it :( #DemocracyMatters #NoNazisHere
@ChristineDantz We all did. My account on Twitter is very well known. But it wasnโ€™t at first. I had to build the account in the first place. Iโ€™m enjoying doing that again. Itโ€™s nice. ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ––โค๏ธ
@SpockResists @ChristineDantz It is nice. Rebuilding can also be expanding, reaching people I never saw before, whether they were on the fowl site or not. You meet more fish in a smaller pond.

@PandaChronicle @SpockResists @ChristineDantz Oh I love "fowl site." Best non-naming of that place yet.

More importantly -- what the others are saying, I second (or third?) the motion. I have found people I don't think I ever would have found in the other place, people in different countries, who share one or another interest. I have seen more engagement and had more interesting conversations. It takes time and some effort, yes. But it's worth the investment.

@legallaurak @PandaChronicle @SpockResists @ChristineDantz I agree. I found myself stuck in an objectionable rut! Thereโ€™s an enjoyable variety here.
