When, for stupid reasons, I was doing a lot of middle of the night grocery shopping; I vented some of my resentment by playing what I called "Bowling For Carts."

Rules Of The Game:
- After unloading groceries into car, find a cart return bay downslope from you & not too far away.
- Line up grocery cart with return bay entrance, & give it a precisely calculated shove.

Zero Score: cart misses bay, & you have to run & catch it.

- Negative Score: cart misses bay & starts heading for another car, & you have to run & catch it *fast*.
[triple bonus negative score if cart hits someone's car]

- Positive Score: cart runs smoothly into return bay.
[bonus positive points if cart joins up with other carts with that nice satisfying click-thunk-it noise]

Maybe not the most fun you can have alone in a grocery store parking lot at 1 am; but it does for me.
