@jerry What lens is that? It looks like a 27-70 f2.8.

If it is I have the same lens but it dropped while mounted to my D4 and the main body of the lens separated from the collar... super bummed... need to send it in for repairs... Nice body though... is that the new mirrorless body? I haven't done any photog stuff since my vision problems so I haven't been keeping up with the new stuffs....

@akmartinez yes - it's the z mount 24-70 f2.8. It's a very low end body (the z30). I am going to save my pennies for a z8 or z9, though
@jerry @akmartinez the z9 is NASTY - finally got one a few weeks ago, but it’s been a big transition and a lot of camera to tote around (coming from a d500). I shoot mostly hockey so the combo with a 70-200 weighs a ton.

@jriemer @jerry can't be any worse that a D4 with a 70-200 f2.8 mounted... I have a lot invested in F mount so I'm a little sad about the new direction... but I guess it won't matter much longer if I fully lose my eye sight...

I'm being told that the F mount lenses I have are still sought after and might fetch a nice price but I might hand down my gear to my son or niece...

@akmartinez @jriemer I bought the f2z adapter - I’ve heard it works quite well. We’ll see.
@akmartinez @jerry totally true on the size / weight. I’m using the FTZII with the AF-S 70-200 2.8E and 24-70 2.8E and both work well. I did notice a lot less hunting after updating the camera firmware to the October release.
