Matt O@jentaub Yes, but not so grateful that he sided with grasping business interest over rail workers in their entirely reasonable demand for paid sick leave. I like Joe, but he doesn’t deserve a break on this. It’s a stab in the back from a president who has spoken so boldly and progressively in defense of unions. Talk is cheap.
@zenism99 @jentaub Economic devastation would follow a strike. But that’s the awesome power workers have when they are organized. To take that power away is stacking the deck against the workers. Say you’re playing poker for huge stakes, and you draw a Royal flush. Now, imagine that Biden steps in and says you can’t play your hand, and you have to fold. Everything is on the table, and you’re not allowed to play your Royal flush. That’s how unfair Biden’s move is.
