Primary source of electricity in North American delineations. You’d think Hawaii would be prime for geothermal instead of oil. Everything is so expensive to import there.

@seatek Washington feels like the one place in the US we possibly won't have a water crisis. That was a pretty big factor in picking up and moving up here.
@andy_amd I sure hope you’re right. The last couple years have been insanely dry for here though. I’ve never seen brown evergreens before.
@seatek @andy_amd Seattle at least is a bit below long term average so far this water year, but not too bad, and last year ended up way above normal because of the wet winter and spring. Hopefully as climate systems continue to break down we will keep getting our rain (and mountain snow) season.
@drymifolia @andy_amd thanks for those! Yeah I think the biggest thing that worries me are the prolonged days without precipitation in the summer/fall now, combined with the record high temperatures.
@seatek @andy_amd yeah, and unfortunately it's likely that will continue and worsen, from what little I understand of the climate models
