There are despondent people everywhere whose lives could be transformed by just a little encouragement. Tell a service worker what a good job they did. Compliment your doctor on her bedside manner. Let your waiter know you appreciated his attention to detail. Tell someone you’ve witnessed doing something kind that it restored some of your faith in humanity. Make sure people feel seen and heard in your presence. ❤️

Showing appreciation for something positive that caught your eye when interacting with another human truely can
- make that person's day better,
- reinforce that behaviour.

It might be more common to acknowledge positive behaviour in children and animals, "well done", "good job!",
but has the same power in adults.
