On this day in 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on the bus for a white passenger in Montgomery, Alabama

@redfrog
I love the racist counter that she got on that bus with the intent of getting arrested, therefore her protest was invalid.

[sarcasm] "Oh no, someone made the world better on PURPOSE? How horrifying!" [/sarcasm]

(Note: UBB is the markup language of Satan. I use it for comedic purposes only.)

@redfrog Thank you Mrs. Parks for paving the way. We won't let you down.
@redfrog Her thinking just before this on the bus: "When that White driver stepped back toward us, when he waved his hand and ordered us up and out of our seats, I felt a determination cover my body like a quilt on a winter night."
@redfrog @Lowie her slightest of grins gets me every. time. Absolute fn LEGEND. ❀️

@redfrog When just an ordinary women created a moment in time that will last forever.

Thank you Mrs. Parks for your bravery.

@redfrog
That expression on her face! She knows that she is going to win…
@redfrog I wear this shirt every December 1st and to many protests.
